Opus One

Fiagd My favorite "Israeli-born" jazz musician (there are two Avishai Cohens and one Anat Fort of course, but...), and one of my favorite contemporary jazzman at all. He's a fabulous in every way - both as a composer/constructor, melodist, instrumentalist and an individual- or a band-thinking man. And again, probably as in any good thing in this world - modernity and a tradition are in a blissful embrace here.

"Jazz fans may not be talking about Israeli saxophonist Shauli Einav yet, but in time they will. Einav’s proper debut, Opus One, is quite an opening statement...boisterous affair heightened by Einav’s aggressive horn, a constant swing and urgent melodies." Audiophile Audition
